Some organisations restrict which IP addresses can communicate with their Salesforce instance. If your org uses IP restrictions, you need to whitelist MoveData's IP addresses. This ensures MoveData can authenticate and sync data without being blocked.

Add both of the following IP addresses to your Salesforce configuration:

How IP restrictions work in Salesforce#

Salesforce provides two levels of IP restriction. Understanding the difference is important for choosing the right approach.

Org-wide trusted IP ranges#

Located in Setup > Security > Network Access.

This setting controls whether Salesforce requires identity verification (such as an email code) for logins from untrusted IPs. It does not block access entirely.

Profile-level login IP ranges#

Located on the Salesforce profile assigned to the MoveData authorised user.

This setting denies login entirely from IP addresses outside the specified ranges. This is the more restrictive option and the correct one for securing MoveData API access.

Configure profile-level login IP ranges#

1. Navigate to Setup > Users > Profiles.
2. Open the profile assigned to the MoveData authorised user.
3. Click Login IP Ranges.
4. Click New.
5. Add 13.237.31.104 as both the Start IP Address and End IP Address.
6. Click Save.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for 3.105.105.117.
