If you notice that certain Funraisin records have not appeared in Salesforce, this article explains why this can happen and how to resolve it. This is uncommon, but when it does occur it is most often associated with fundraising pages that were created in Funraisin via a manual import process.

How Funraisin polling works#

Funraisin is a polling integration. By default, MoveData polls Funraisin every 10 minutes. During each polling cycle, MoveData looks for any records that were created or updated within that 10-minute window, processes them into Salesforce, and then moves on to the next window.

This means MoveData relies on accurate created and last modified timestamps on Funraisin records to determine which records to pick up.

Why records can be missed#

In some cases — particularly with manually imported fundraising pages — the created and last modified timestamps on Funraisin records can be set to a date in the past rather than the time of import. When this happens, those timestamps fall outside the current 10-minute polling window, and MoveData does not see the records as new or updated. As a result, they are not pulled into Salesforce.

How to fix this#

Contact Funraisin and ask them to update the last modified date on the affected records to the current date and time. This causes the records to appear in MoveData's next polling window, and they will be processed into Salesforce automatically.

  1. Identify the Funraisin records that have not appeared in Salesforce.
  2. Email Funraisin with the list of affected records.
  3. Ask Funraisin to update the last modified date on those records to now.
  4. MoveData will pick up the records in the next polling cycle (within 10 minutes).
