Note
All MoveData pricing is stated exclusive of applicable sales taxes. Where tax is charged, it appears as a separate line item on your invoice.
How the reverse charge mechanism works#
For customers in the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, MoveData does not charge VAT or GST/HST on invoices. Instead, the reverse charge mechanism applies. This means your organisation is responsible for accounting for the applicable tax in your local tax return, rather than MoveData collecting it.
If you are unsure how the reverse charge applies to your organisation, consult your finance team or tax adviser.
Threshold-based exemptions#
For customers in New Zealand and the United States, MoveData does not currently meet the registration or nexus thresholds required to charge local sales tax. This position is reviewed periodically.
Tax invoices#
MoveData invoices include the relevant tax information for your jurisdiction. Australian customers receive a tax invoice that complies with GST requirements, including MoveData's Australian Business Number (ABN).
