General Accounting Units

General Accounting Units work in the following manner (should you wish to use them):

  • You must assign a GAU to the parent campaign

  • MoveData will automatically inherit that value down the campaign hierarchy (i.e. onto team and fundraiser campaigns in a peer to peer fundraising context)

  • This way all campaign records will contain the requisite GAU for NPSP to inherit onto the opportunity record associated with that campaign

Note: inheritance of GAU values down the campaign hierarchy runs only when a new campaign is created by MoveData (and not updated).
